Sunday – Tuesday  9:00-11:00 ; 14:15-14:45

Wednesday  9:00-11:00 ; 13:45-14:45

Thursday  9:00-11:00

The goal of the program is to allow extraordinary undergraduate students to take part in cutting edge research and scientific activities in the Department of Physics at the Technion.
The program is intended for a limited number of students with scientific curiosity and exceptional intellectual abilities.

With great pleasure I would like to inform you that Dr. Kinneret Keren will receive the EBSA (European Biophysical Societies' Association - http://www.ebsa.org) Young Investigator's Medal for 2011 during the 8th Biophysics Congress to be held in Budapest, 23-27 August, 2011.

Following recent approval by the  CERN Council of Israel's application to become a Member State of the CERN Organisation, Israel's President Shimon Peres visited CERN on March 29,2011, and more specifically the ATLAS experiment and the GRID project of which the Technion group (Yoram Rozen, Shlomit Tarem, Sophia Vallecorsa, Shikma Bressler, Sylvia Behar, Enrique Kajomovitz, Tarboush Shahrazad, Alex Vodovin, Nachman Lupu, David Cohen, with Yoram Gernitzki and Elie Hadash until recently).

With great pleasure and honor I would like to inform you that Distinguished Professor Mordechai (Moti) Segev  was elected to the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities.

Shikma Bressler and Eilon Poem-Kalogerakis were awarded the 2010 Israel Physics Society Prize for a Graduate Student. They will be awarded the prize during the opening ceremony of the  IPS General Assembly, in Tel Aviv University, on December 5, 2010.
Let us congratulate them for their achievement. 

Dr. Oren Cohen, a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Physics has received the Krill Prize for 2011.(*)
