undergraduate overview

Ideas in Physics have always been drivers of conceptual and technological revolutions. This is the guiding principle of education at the Physics Department at the Technion, which aims students towards understanding the laws of nature and while teaching creative thinking and innovation.

As part of their education students are exposed to cutting edge scientific research in a wide variety of fields. Even before they graduate students tackle unsolved scientific problems. Indeed, graduates become leaders of research and development in the high-tech industry as well as academic faculty in Israel and abroad.

In addition, physics undergraduates may expand their academic program to include an extra degree such as Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science as well as other disciplines. These programs combine scientific thinking with technological knowledge.
