TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION

Unitours has been appointed the official organizer and travel agent of the ICPS 24  and as such will be offering specially reduced rates for conference participants. Unitours will extend its services for special hotel arrangements, tours and car rentals, as well as pre and post conference requests. Unitours will be operating a Hospitality Desk throughout the Conference.

HOTELS

Participants will be accommodated at the Renaissance Hotel, the Conference
venue. Located close to the Western Campus of the Hebrew University, the Knesset
(Israel's Parliament), the Israel Museum and major government offices, the hotel is equipped with a modern health club and 2 pools - all free of charge for in-house guests.
The hotel is composed of two wings: the Renaissance Wing which is a 5 star deluxe standard and the Royal Wing, first class standard. Both wings are connected by an indoor passage.

Rates are per person per night, including breakfast and service charges.
Participants will be accommodated in similar hotels located nearby in case the Renaissance is fully booked.

**Student Dormitories
There is a limited number of rooms reserved at the University dormitories, located 20 minutes walk from the Conference venue. Reservations and payment of deposit have to be done by July 1, 1998. Rates do not include breakfast and towels. No single rooms available.

Cancellation Policy
With a cancellation letter postmarked July 30, 1998 - full refund less $ 40 handling fee.
A later cancellation - full refund less one night accommodation.

Airport Assistance and Transportation
Unitours will operate a welcome service in the arrivals terminal hall at Ben Gurion International Airport on Sunday, August 2. Participants needing assistance or information are kindly requested to contact the Unitours representative.

Taxis and buses connect the airport to Jerusalem.
Transportation can also be reserved on the attached accommodation & reservation form at an additional cost of $ 39 per person on a sharing basis. Participants reserving this service will be met upon arrival and assisted through luggage claim and customs. Please forward the exact  flight arrival details for transfer arrangements no later than JULY 15, 1998 to the Secretariat.

Official Carrier
El Al Israeli Airlines is the official carrier for the Conference.
Details of special rates will be given in the Conference Web Site.

All registered accompanying persons are invited to join the following two
half-day tours:

Monday, August 3, 1998
09:00-13:00    Half Day Tour: Modern Jerusalem
Travel through the City of Jerusalem to Hadassah Medical Center and view the Chagall stained glass windows depicting the 12 Tribes of Israel. Proceed to the lovely village of Ein Karem and visit Mary's fountain.  Continue to Holyland Hotel to view the model of Jerusalem from the period  of the Second Temple, 2,000 years ago.

Tuesday, August 4, 1998
09:00-13:00    Half  Day Tour: Cave and Kibbutz
Travel west along the slopes of the Judean Hills to Avshalom Nature Reserve.
Visit the magnificent cave, in the heart of Jerusalem stone quarries, with its exceptionally rich stalagmite and stalactite formations. Continue to Kibbutz Tzora for a guided tour of the Kibbutz and a chance to chat with its members.

Both tours will depart from the Renaissance Hotel lobby.
