Dear
Colleague,
The 24th International Conference on the Physics
of Semiconductors (ICPS 24)
will be held in Jerusalem from Sunday, August
2 till Friday, August 7, 1998.
This Conference is another one in the long
line of exciting conferences on semiconductor physics. Yet ICPS 24 marks
the 50th anniversary of the transistor invention and will, thus, be the
best stage to present and appreciate the great progress of this field.
This year marks also the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the State
of Israel. The Organizing Committee will do its best to have an exciting
Conference that will
celebrate these two anniversaries and will
be a memorable event for all its participants.
This circular provides information on ICPS 24 and calls for contributed papers reporting on new and significant research results. The submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the International and Local Program Committees? members. Some of the papers will be upgraded to invited papers and others will be scheduled in either oral or poster sessions. All accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings.
To keep the Conference limber, a few empty
slots will be reserved for
outstanding late news. An ad hoc committee
will convene to choose them.
We look forward to welcoming you to an exciting
Conference and wish you an enjoyable stay in Israel.
