The Conference will be held at the Renaissance Hotel, Jerusalem.

The Conference venue is in a secure part of Jerusalem, located near the Israel?s Parliament, the Israel Museum and the Hebrew University western campus. The Organizing Committee will do its best to assure safety of all participants. A number of successful international conferences were held at this venue in 1997.

Language
The Conference will be conducted in English.

Climate
The weather in Jerusalem in August is sunny and warm during the day and cool at night. Temperatures range from 18°C - 29°C (64°F  - 85°F).  It rarely  rains in the summer in Israel.

Clothing
Informal for all occasions. Swimming suit, headcover and comfortable shoes are recommended for touring.

Visas
An entry visa to Israel is not required for participants from most countries but we suggest that you check with your travel agent. For participants from countries that do not have an official Israeli representation or consulate, please contact  the Secretariat SIX WEEKS prior to arrival providing the following details: full name, date and place of birth, passport number, date and place of issue, expiration date, arrival date and flight number.

Exhibition
An exhibition of scientific equipment will take place during the Conference.
