ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
In order to submit one or several abstracts
to IPS2000, you must follow these instructions:
-
Download the Latex template file called sample.tex.
(You may need to
press the SHIFT key while pressing the left
mouse button.)
- Download
the viewer file viewer.tex
and save it in the same directory as the template file sample.tex.
(You may need to
press the SHIFT key while pressing the left
mouse button.)
- First, check that you have the two files viewer.tex and sample.tex
in the same directory. Next, check that you can print the sample file.
The sample.tex file is included in the viewer file so
you print the contents of sample.tex by writing
latex viewer.tex and then printing as usual. You may compare with the
sample file that is shown here.
Your abstract should look like this sample when completed.
- Then copy or change the name of the file
sample.tex to yourname.tex and replace the
line in viewer.tex appropriately.
Edit the file yourname.tex with your abstract.
You must select the correct session, change
the title, authors and affiliations and replace the sample content and
references with your own.
- Preview or print the file by running latex viewer and then xdvi viewer
and dvips viewer
or your own preview command. Make certain you do not run over the page!
- If you have several abstracts call them yourname_1.tex, yourname_2.tex etc.
- Then e-mail the file yourname.tex as an attachment (e.g. in Pine)
with the word abstract and your surname included in the subject line.
The address for abstracts is ips2000@physics.technion.ac.il.
We will send you an acknowledgement of our reproduction of your file
by 15/4/2000. Please, do not send the file directly from your
editing software such as Scientific Word or emacs or from netscape !!!
-
We will not accept abstracts
that do not obey the format instructions, but will help as needed.
If you have questions please e-mail
us at ips2000@physics.technion.ac.il with the word help and your surname
as part of the subject heading.
