Yakov
Krasik received his M. Sc. and Ph.D. in physics and mathematics from Tomsk Polytechnic Institute, Russia, in 1976 and 1980, respectively. From 1980 to 1991, he was with the Nuclear Research
Institute, Tomsk, as a Senior Scientist (until 1987) and as the Head of the High-Power Ion Beam Laboratory (until 1991). From 1991 to 1996, he was with the Department of Physics, Weizmann Institute of
Science, Rehovot. Since 1996 he has been with the Department of Physics, Technion, Haifa. Since 2002 he is an Associate Professor. Fields of interest: high-power electron and ion beam generation,
plasma opening switches, and active plasma cathodes. |
