A Mini-School on Quantum Black Holes

Organized jointly by the Technion, Haifa University and Tel Aviv University

Supported by

The Institute of Theoretical Physics, Technion,
Center for Computational Mathematics and Scientific Computation,

Haifa University and Tel-Aviv University

Technion:  January 23-24

Tel Aviv University: January 25

The last few years have seen considerable progress in understanding the quantum nature of black holes, especially via string theory. The aim of this mini-school is to introduce graduate students (and postdocs) to these recent developments. The school will consist of introductory level lectures on classical, quantum and stringy aspects of black holes, as well as more advanced lectures on current research directions.
