Accommodation at Technion

 

Unless I tell you otherwise, you will be staying at the Forchheimer Guest House - 2 floors of "hotel"  above the Forchheimer Faculty Club.  Because of general Technion financial difficulties there is no permanent receptionist.  During the week, however, there is someone on duty until about 7 p.m. each day.

 

If you will be arriving on Friday evening or Shabbat or not during working hours, your key-card for your room +  entrance door of the guest house will be at the Security Office which is on the right hand side of the Main Gate of the Technion.  The taxi driver should wait for you to get your key-card and then take you to the Forchheimer Guest House.

 

In order to enter the building and your  room you need to place the key-card close to the electronic eye. You will hear  a click and the light will turn green. This will enable you to open the doors.

 

To reach the  Forchheimer Guest House:

On entering the Technion  take the lower road until you reach a roundabout, make a half circle and continue in the same direction. The Guest House is on the right about 100 meters from the roundabout.

 

The conference is in the Physics Department, Taub (Arts and Humanities) Building, Lewiner Institute Seminar Room on the 4th floor.
