Information for Applicants for Faculty Positions
The Department of Physics at the Technion encourages applications for faculty
positions at all
levels, but particularly at the junior faculty (tenure track) level.
Applicants in all fields of theoretical and experimental physics are welcome.
Junior faculty offers are typically tendered in the first quarter of the year,
which means that we need
to have all relevant information considerably earlier.
For proper consideration, please arrange for the following to be sent to us
no later than November 30:
1. Updated CV
2. List of publications
3. Description of past research
4. Description of future research
5. Names of 5 people who can serve as references
Please include a cover letter, addressed to the Dean of the Physics
Faculty, indicating that you would like to be considered for a faculty position.
Having applied, you may update your file subsequently if changes
(articles published, invitations for invited lectures, etc) occur after the
initial application.
It is not strictly necessary, but certainly desirable, that candidates be available
to give a seminar
on their research. We will contact applicants after their applications are received
in order to
schedule seminars, but bearing in mind that the schedule fills up
rather quickly, it is in the best interest of the applicants to to apply as
early as possible.
